Extremely big ship's fender is made of massive and porous rubber(y material) and comprises coiled 2-ply web of massive rubber sheet and a rubber foam web; the plies being firmly adhesive-bonded together. The plies are made of identical rubber or rubber blend with major proportion of carbon black. The ratio of massive rubber sheet: foam ply = 1:5-1:15. The prod. is highly efficient in preventing damage by impact to water-craft whilst retaining good buoyancy, esp. suitable for use in tidal harbours.
