Structural system torsion moment anchor - conveys and stresses tension and pressure elements across gaps

The torsional moment anchor is used so that tension and pressure elements are conducted away across the dividing joint gap between two adjacent lements, and stressed. As far as possible, further connections are avoided, except for the bearing elements. The anchor may be made in the form of a triple-hinged arch system with stressed tension strip. Use may be made of wedge segment anchors, one segment at least being mounted in a sliding clamped position. Any desired material can be combined without insertion of connecting media, while preserving the structure's monolithic effect.
