The marking machine for roadways has a travelling chassis with a tank containing the marking material, which is delivered by compressed air to a spray nozzle. The material is applied either directly to the road surface or to a distribution roller on a hinge mounting between the nozzle and road surface. An independent machine supplies the compressed air, being mounted at a distance from the marking material tank on the chassis, and connected to it by a pipe with control valve leading to the end of the tank opposite to the outlet.
