The machines having a number of butt-jointed sections forming a ring bank has the support for the sections of the ring bank provided with guides and the juxtaposed sections are joined together at their ends by couplings which are movable relative to the support. Ring banks provided with up to 800 spindles arranged in sections, have the sections located accurately for servicing despite thermal expansion under working conditions. Couplings serve as restoring members.
