An arrangement for the wet treatment, partic. scouring, of continuous textile goods in open width consisting of an essentially vertical series of roller and drum combinations, up which the fabric progresses against a counter-flow of treatment liquor, of which the primary component is a perforated cylindrical drum, inside which rolls a rubber-covered roller of smaller dia. The arrangement increases the effectiveness of the treatment, and avoids the difficulties associated with the use of the usual horizontal machines of relatively high fabric tensions and aquaplaning effects at the rollers which leads to uneven treatment.
