The absorption heat pump as in the main patent has a heat exchanger connected by an expansion valve to an evaporator positioned in an air duct. Air is blown through the duct by a fan alongside which is a temperature sensor. The return line for the cold medium from the evaporator to the heat exchanger incorporates another temperature sensor. Both sensors are connected to a valve controller. This operates a valve between the heat exchanger and the condenser, also another valve in the line between the condenser and the absorber.
