The machine is for renovation of bitument road surface layers, damaged by grooves or other identations. The unit has a tracked or wheeled chassis, surface heater and penetrating teeth and two lateral support arms holding a spreader and smoothing board. The surface heater and surface-ripping teeth are mounted between the two arms, to which they may be attached to be adjustable for height. Where there is an additional, separately travelling, heater in front, there may be teeth both ahead of and behind the heater on the arms. The machine can also be used for new road surface construction.
