A system for concentrating the energy of the sun can be integrated into the facade of a tall building aesthetically. The efficiency of the collector is increased since it is not exposed to the temperature and weather influences. A curtain of strips is used for the prodn. of reflection effects; the strips extending lengthways horizontally and arranged vertically or obliquely one above the other. The strips are of glass with a reflective coating and may have flat, convex or concave surfaces. They concentrate the radiation of the sun from below on to a receiver in the ceiling of the room. The curtain of strips adapted to the average height of the sun may be incorporated in a double glazing unit with a motor altering the alignment of the strips as the sun's height changes during the day.
