A bag, made of thermoplastic material, pref. polyethylene or polypropylene, has chamfered edges at the bottom to which a folded end piece is welded. When the bag is folded flat, sticking is prevented by a coating on the insides of the fold, of a material such as silicone lacquer or a modified glyptal resin. This simplifies the mfr. of such bags and the machinery required for it. Such bags can now be produced inexpensively and with a clean closure at the bottom. Specifically the bag is made of a continuous foil of polyethylene or polypropylene.
