A mechanical-electrical transducer for pressure measurement uses a pressure measurement cell and produces a press. dependent electrical output signal. The press. measurement cell itself outputs an electrical signal or a signal capable of electrical evaluation. It is simple and economical to mfr. in robust form and eliminates noise in the mechanical transfer between cell and a mechanical to electrical convertor. The cell contains two electrically isolated parts (1, 2) forming the plates of a capacitor. They are two elastic dishes of electrically conducting material, pref. spring steel, connected by insulating material (3) to form a sealed chamber (4).
