Dual basin lavatory flushing system - has separate basins and flushes for urine and solid matter saving water (BR 22.8.78)

There is a toilet pan (14) in the flushing lavatory closet unit (10), with inside partition (16) defining one basin (12) for urine collecting and another (13) for solid excrement. One set of media, linked to the first basin, contains a barrier connecting it to the outflow duct, and a second is similarly fitted for the second basin. A third set provides waste-water flushing for the first basin, and a fourth does the same for the first basin independently of the flushing of the first. The first basin may be smaller than the second, and pref. at the front of the pan. While providing effective and sanitary flushing, this saves water by using less for urine removal.
