The wheel frame (2) on a toy railway coach arries a non-conductive mounting plate (1) which is located between each wheel paii (3). Attached to the mounting plate are two leaf spring contacts (5) whose free ends are in sliding contact with the inside faces of the wheels. Each leaf contact is anchored to the mounting plate by two right angle lugs (6) which plug into the plate. The protruding ends on the upper side on the plate are contact points to which the light bulbs in the coach are connected.
