There is an insertion hole (5), open at the top, with rough or esp. profiled surface in the centre of a base slab (2) which is part of a sleeve foundation for columns in a building. The bottom end of the column (1) is slightly smaller in diameter than the hole, and it is correspondingly roughened or proiled over a section matching the hole depth. It is inserted in the hole, and materially and form-lock connected with it by a hard-setting cast substance (4) which is serrated inside and outside. The hole may be conically widened towards the top, and its depth may correspond to base slab thickness. Construction is simplified and less expensive, and the whole can be accomplished in a single process.
