Cup-shaped boring tool mfr. - in which cutters are welded onto rim of cup and end of central drill

The boring tool is made from a cylindrical part by boring out an annular space from one end so that the central drill (2) of the tool is formed. A drill shaft (3) with which the boring tool is mounted in a boring machine is welded onto the outside of the cup, e.g. by friction welding. Cutters (4, 5) are welded on to the rim of the cup shaped part and on the end of the central drill. The central drill protrudes beyond the edge of the cup shaped tool.
