The security element is used in a door structure, on a strongroom to withstand attack and break-in. The assembly incorporates a peripheral frame (1) with metal reinforcement (2) and cast plate (8) surrounded by the frame. The reinforcement can consist of one or more metal gratings or layers of metal bars, pref. fixed to the frame, in the centre or outside. It may also be embedded in the plate which can be made of alloyed graphite, with a fitting skin (9) of sheet steel fixed to the frame. the element can withstand attacks with cutting or percusion drilling tools, frame guns or acid burners.
