Reducing pulsation in high-pressure liquid pumps - using chamber of variable capacity pref fitted with elastic PTFE or vinylidene! fluoride-hexa:fluoro:propylene copolymer

Device for damping pulsation in high-pressure liq. pumps has a casing composed of top and bottom parts in which there is a liq. chamber connected to a high-presure line, whose capacity varies between a max. and a min. value with variations of pressure. A control device is used to vary the capacity of the liq. chamber, with which the vol. of the chamber can be regulated depending on various pressures, via an adjusting member along an adjustment path. This path is limited by buffers. Part of the wall of the liq. chamber is formed by an elastic membrane, suitably PTFE or an elastomer based on a vinylidene fluoride hexafluoropropylene copolymer.
