The bolt setting gun has a sliding block (4) fitted at the outlet aperture, mounted on an intermediate piece (2) which connects the main drive part (1a) and the mouth or outlet part (1b). This intermediate piece (2) is fixed to the main drive part (1a), but slides on the outlet part (1b). The outlet or mouth part and the block yield against the back thrust of the main drive part (1a). The intermediate piece (2) is a socket with a section (2a) which can be screwed into the main drive part.
