The motor vehicle fuel tank has a collector pot at the geodetically deepest point. A fuel feed pipe starts preferably via a filter, from the deepest point of the pot, at which a return pipe also discharges via an injector nozzle. An injector funnel or opening is situated near the nozzle and coaxial to it. The pot (2) is held in position near a tapped hole in the tank bottom (1), the hole being sealed by a plug (5) screwed in from outside. The plug (5) has a shoulder (10) fitting over the hole edge and forming a seal (11) against the tank wall, while its inner end face (12) bears against the pot underside. It also forms the unions for the feed (7) and return pipes (8), one of which is situated roughly centrally in it and the other eccentrically so as to connect with an annular passage (9) leading to an inner one (13).
