The scale or balance has a case which is movable against spring pressure. The appts. is filled with a removable load pan and there is a support for a bowl replacing the pan. The support for the bowl (26) with an outer flange has hooks (29) at the case (21) bottom which grip the flange, and a horizontal wall-side element for the bowl flange part facing the wall. It is shaped to fit the bowl flange, and has a projection resting on the inner wall of the bowl.
