Openings are die-cut in sheets or plates by superposing on the die-cutting step on oppositely directed clearing step using a clearing die which is disposed on the opposite side of the sheets and which is oscillated axially with adjustable amplitude and frequency. Used for die-cutting openings of desired cross-section in glass fibre reinforced synthetic resin sheets or plates or in synthetic resin plates coated or laminated with metallic layers. Part. glass fibre reinforced epoxy resin sheets or plates. Openings have accurate dimensions and clean periphery.
