A timer with built in display is intended for use with automobiles for parking purposes. The ignition switch (8) of an automobile is modified to provide operation and reset of a time clock (2). When the key is set to the switch off position (3), a relay (6) is actuated (7) to start the clock. Reset is effected when the ignition switch is moved to the position (5) necessary to start the car. The clock is mounted in a switchable position in relation to the vehicle windscreen. The electronic circuit uses a relay and this controls a liquid crystal or LED display.
