An orthodontic adhesive for bonding a metal or plastic bracket to tooth enamel comprises two curable components designed to be coated in separate layers on the surfaces to be joined and cured upon contact of the layers. The first component comprises a curable liquid resin having a viscosity of 500-750,000 cps. The second component comprises a curable liquid resin and organic or inorganic filler having a viscosity of at least 1,000,000 cps. One component also contains a polymerization catalyst and the other component contains a polymerization accelerator. The curable liquid resin consists of monomers such as mono-, di- and poly-methacrylate or acrylate ester monomers and mixture thereof.
