The cleaning device for fishponds has a suction head which can be moved parallel to the pond bottom. It is formed from a hollow, U-profile whose longitudinal edges have sealing skirts. A take off channel in the pond bottom is fitted to the suction head (10, 19) as a suction line. The suction orifice is extended to a suction arm which extends from the suction head up to the pond side wall (19). The sealing skirts (4) consist of rubber elastic strips of greater height than the corresponding ground spacing of the hollow profile longitudinal edges.
