摘要
Hydrolysis accelerator used in the thermal treatment of polyester-based textiles with an aq. soln of an alkali metal hydroxide (I) is (trimethyl)-(stearyl)-ammonium methyl-sulphate (IIA) or a (dimethyl)-(ethyl)-(coconut fat)ammonium ethyl-sulphate (IIB). Pref. the concns. used in the soln. are 0.3-20 (wt.%) (I) and 0.01-10% (II), esp. 0.3-5% (I) and 0.01-1% (II) in discontinuous operation and higher concns. in continuous operation. (I) is NaOH and/or KOH. Treatment is pref. carried out for 15-120 min at 60-110 (80-110) degrees C in discontinuous or 0.5-15 (1-15) min at 70-210 (100-210) degrees C in continuous operation. The textiles are pref. precleaned and fixed in dry air at 160-220 degrees C. After treatment, the textile is pref. neutralised with dil. acid (acetic acid) and ironed if necessary at 100-200 degrees C. Treatment improves the feel and drape of the textiles, without impairing the mechanical and textile properties.
