The fixture for a wedge bolt kncks it into a hole made in stone, concrete or other hard material. When the bolt is driven into the hole, tongues at one gapped end are forced together. The tongues have a chisel-blade shape and when the bolt is further struck, a wedge part located in the base of the hole permits the bending of the spread tongues further in the direction of the hole. After the bolt tongues are thus bent, the wedge piece causes them to further bend to the centre of the hole. Finally the wedge piece is enclosed between the tongues.
