The cutter is in the shape of a cogged cylinder, with a chopper machine also in the shape of a cogged cylinder. Both are pivot-mounted and caused to rotate by a motor. The cutter and chopper share a common tangent so that the cut-down bushes are conveyed by their roots through the cutter-cylinder to the chopper cylinder. The collector is in the form of two arms which are pivot-mounted at one end to the sides of the frame at the back, and outside the chopper cylinder. The arms have pivot pins which are mounted in bearings and each connected to hydraulic drive. The ends of the arms are bent backwards.
