The suspension railway track vehicle incorporates two running-wheels running on two adjacent lengths of track on the carrier rail, connected to each other by a loading traverse extending lengthways. There is a power-driven running-wheel (7), and near this a towed running-wheel (11), which is removable from its track (5), and which has a rolling point lower than that of the drive-wheel. The towed wheel may be mounted in the track adjacent to the drive-wheel, and practically in prolongation of the latter's axle. It may be seated on an eccentric shaft which can be checked in two positions. This makes it easier for the vehicle to be converted to the towed function when required.
