The miniature celtic harp, which may be sold in kit form, is between 60 and 70 centimetres high and has 24 metal strings, tuned so as to span four octaves, or spanning three octaves with two additional notes. The tuning of the harp is diatonic and not chromatic, the weight being kept down by the absence of menas of obtaining sharps or flats. The length of the harp is ref. 22 centimetres at the bottom and 45 centimetres at the top. The strings are each fixed at the top around a peg, after passing through a metal guide and fixed at the bottom by a metal pin, within the resonance chamber, a metal sleeve enclosing the bottom end of each string.
