Braking system for oleopneumatically suspended vehicle - has double circuit for front and rear with pressure time delay for stability

The double circuit brake installation is for a vehicle with oleopneumatic suspension. There is a fluid dispenser controlling the liquid pressure of the hydraulic suspension which feeds on circuit for the rear wheels and a second circuit for the front wheels. There is a pressure-limiting valve (20) with a plunger which moves under pressure in two chambers (23,22) joined to the second brake circuit (2) and suspension circuit and first circuit, controlled by a limiting valve (12). There is a limiter (R) to retard pressure build up in the second circuit chamber. This consists of a timer with a gas cushion. The delay in applying pressure gives good vehicle stability during braking.
