摘要
A dental alloy which forms an amalgam with Hg, has the compn. =20 (=40) wt.% Ag, 20-50 (20-40) wt.% Sn 9.5-50 (10-35) wt.% Cu and =0.5 (5-10) wt.% In. The alloy forms an amalgam when mixed in powder form with Hg giving a prod. which has excellent physical and mechanical properties and is resistant to tarnish. Specific compsns. comprise 50 wt.% Ag, 20-30 wt.% Sn, 11-20 wt.% Cu, 3-6 wt.% In, or 60 wt.% Ag, 22 wt.% Sn, 13 wt.% Cu, 5 wt.% In. On mixing the dental alloy in powder form with Hg the compsn. is 18-35 wt.% Ag, 11-16 wt.% Sn, 6-15 wt.% Cu, 1-5 wt.% In, balance Hg.
