The current pickup and guide assembly is fitted to miniature cars for a slot racing circuit. The assembly may be removed and replaced by a new part without disturbing the wiring connections. It comprises a motor block (1) held (2) in brackets (4) on the car body (3), stops (5) limiting movement. At each end of the block are spring blade contacts (6) connected on the underside to the motor wiring (11). A hole (16) locates the stem (15) of the removable pickup block (13). This has a central blade (14), fitting into the circuit slot, and spring blades (20) passing the current from the pickup side to the motor block.
