The cable railway layout has a conveyor cable and one or more passenger cars with a rotation symmetrical casing and circular floor to afford an all-round scenic view, avoiding the risk of wobbling caused by passengers constantly changing seats to as to obtain a better view. The floor (36) of the car (10) is mounted so as to be rotatable about its vertical symmetry axis, and to be set into a slow revolving motion, by a built-in drive, pref. mounted below the floor. A carrier tube (22), passing vertically through the car may be fastened to the suspension unit (12), with the floor rotatably mounted on its bottom end. The car is pref. spherical, with a sheath made of synthetic glass. The seats may be rigidly connected to a sheathing tube round the carrier tube.
