The storage file for audio cassettes, is formed by a number of individual elements which can be rigidly coupled together, each element used to store one cassette (2). The elements are in the form of a rectangular casing open at one side, the inner surfaces of the sides (12, 13) of the casing separated by the thickness of a cassette (2) and at their edges define insertion guides for the cassette (2). The outside surface of one side of each casing element may have a number of spaced pins (22, 22a) while the outside surface of the other side has corresponding holes, so that the elements can be fitted together by inserting the pins into the holes of the adjacent element.
