摘要

The appts. is used for taking samples of a fluid by immersing the apparatus vertically into the fluid. It comprises a bell (2) of circular section, open at its ends, with its axis vertical when in use. The ratio between the depth of immersion of the bell and the height of fluid inside it is constant. A cylindrical compensation tube (5), closed at its upper end, is provided also, this having a cross-section greater than that of the upper part of the bell. The lower edge of the (7) of the compensation tube is p pressed against the external face of the bell. A cylindrical sampling tube (8) is mounted coaxially inside the bell and is open at its upper end. It is fitted, at its lower end, with a valve (10) which allows fluid to pass when the apparatus is immersed. The cross section of the sampling tube is less than the smallest section of the bell and its height is about the same as that of the bell.
