The a.d. converter is designed to provide in digital form the value of an angle from output signals from a resolver. The resolver being sensitive to the spatial orientation of an element. The convertor is of the double integration error signal type. It has an error signal processing circuit (10). This circuit (10) produces from the output signals of the resolver and the value of the displayed angle an error signal. This error signal is proportional to the difference between the angle measured and the angle displayed. The integrator (5) integrates the error signal, the output voltage of the integrator controls an oscillator. An adder-subtractor (7) counts or subtracts the pulses provided by the oscillator according to the sign of the error signal. The contents of the adder-subtractor represent the value of the displayed angle. The converter also means (12) for applying to the input of the integrator (5) the error signal.
