A home trainer using substantially a bicycle frame without a front wheel and front forks, and suitably attached to a support with rollers for the rear wheel, has an adjustable frame to adapt to the user's body. The crossbar (2) attached to the remainder of the frame (1,3, 4) in a conventional manner, supports at upper crossbar (16) permitting its height to be adjusted. This allows the height of the saddle (23) and handlebars (32) to be altered. The saddle can also be moved rearwards from the upper crossbar, and similarly, the handlebars can be extend forwards. To ensure correct positioning of the spine of the user, the shape of the user's back is projected onto a screen and measured against a set of reference curves.
