The collapsible table (1) may be made of cardboard. It collapses into a shallow rectangular box form, and is intended primarily as a child's playtable. The base of the table (3) is formed by the box lid, to top of the table (2) is formed by the box body, and a single central leg folds (5) down to be contained by the box. The positions of the box lid (3) and body (2) may be reversed in the erected table, and in either case they are deployed with their open faces towards one another. The leg (5) may be of 'V' section with an apex hinge (6), has a further transverse hinge (10) for collapsing purposes, and be secured by locating the top and bottom edges in narrow 'U' section tracks (12, 14). An elastic band between box lid and body may further stabilise the erected form and as an alternative the leg (5) may be telescopic.
