The key-cutting machine vice has a set of pairs of fixed and moving jaws, each for a different type of key. The fixed jaws (3a-d) are secured to a common support (1), and a rod (4) passes through them, on which the moving jaws are mounted. A second set of pairs of jaws is similarly mounted, one set accommodating the patterns, and the other the blanks to be cut. Elastic elements (6) are fitted between the moving jaws in each pair and a stop (7) on the rod, spring (8) being mounted between each moving and fixed jaw. The rod or rods are moved in opposition to the elastic elements, so as to clamp the jaws together.
