An attachment for stereoscopic photography comprises two prisms (3, 4) having trapezoidal cross-section, with the two non-parallel faces ensuring the convergence of the viewing axis. The entry and exit faces (31, 32) are parallel. The attachment can be placed in front of the lens (O) of an ordinary, e.g. 35mm camera, and is simple and compact. For stereoscopic projection, the apparatus comprises a double prism provided with cross polarisation filters and a translucent screen.
