Cross country tracked vehicle - uses reinforced rubber tracks with segments secured by plates

The vehicle for all terrains is fitted with rubber tracks and with multiple wheels in contact with the internal surface of the track. The tracks (c) are of solid or inflatable rubber tyres which may have a metallic internal reinforcement. This may have metal threads or longitudinally arranged cables (2), there may be a series of suitably spaced transverse metal beads. Each track (preferably) has equal segments (3) assembled end to end and so that it can be dismantled, the segments may be threaded onto the longitudinal cables. Assembly is by linkage plates (4) with perforations for pins, bolts, rivets or other fasteners (5).
