摘要
The wooden house consists of primary panels made from slabs (1) of oak of roughly rectangular section. The bark (2) of the wood is retained on the outside of each panel. Each section is machined along the edges so as to form a lengthwise groove (3) along one side, and a complementary rabbet (4) on the other side. Two sections (1) are fitted together by means of hardwood pegs (5) inserted into aligned holes (6) in the slabs. The panels thereby formed are nailed onto horizontal crosspieces at the top and bottom and onto corner uprights. For the roof, standardised panels are used as wooden tiles and are interlocked to be nailed onto rafters. The rafters are fixed to the ridge purlin resting on crosswise slabs. The roofing is covered by planks lined with metal.
