Appts. for sepg. liq., or easily separable liquids of different specific wts., partic. for sepg., collecting and storing oil from water, incorporates an outer body rotating on a hollow central element, an interior auxiliary element and a receiver. The rotating body creates centrifugal forces which stratify a flow inside it. The hollow element determines the level of the lighter substances flowing towards the centre and to an outlet pipe for that substance. The anterior auxiliary element recovers floating substances. The receiver incorporates a flexible membrane. The whole is esp. supported and maneurvered by pivoting beams operating so that they are oriented and oscillated to give correct functioning in calm or rough seals. Appts. can be mounted in installations on land or on a tanker.
