The spring suspension is for the sliding block-free axle bush of a rail vehicle. The springs are positioned between the frame cheeks and the axle bush which has side arms at opposite ends. One arm is connected via a joint, the other via an intermediate member, to the frame cheeks. The intermediate member (9) is positioned alongside the frame cheeks. It forms a double member, together with an axle sleeve, and consists of two connected sections (10, 11), parallel to the vertical longitudinal plane. The connections are via elastic elements (16), positioned between the free ends of the sections and the intermediate member.
