A relatively large, laminated, patterned moulding is claimed, e.g. a bath tub, comprising a plastics base lamina; a pattern or design body with numerous ducts allowing plastic melt to flow through, which body is arranged upon the base lamina; and a plastics lamina upon the top surface of the pattern body and formed by plastics material that has flowed through the ducts. Process comprises arranging the plastics material between a heated male and a heated female half-mould to subject them to heat and pressure to cause them to set. On 1 of the half-moulds a pattern or design body is arranged, the half-moulds being heated to below the m. pt. of the pattern body whilst the plastics fills the space between the pattern body and the other half-mould. Process is cheaper than conventional lay-up and spray methods.
