Varying the photo-permeability of liq. suspensions - contg. adsorbed iodine or bromine, by adding halogenated solvent of lower molecular weight than the adsorbed halogen

A liquid suspension containing fine suspended particles (e.g. herapathite reagent, quinone bisulphate or CuBr2) combined with adsorbed iodine or bromine, is mixed with a solvent (e.g. CHCl3, CCl4 or dibromo-tetrafluoroethane) contg. a second halogen component having a lower mol. wt. than the absorbed iodine or bromine. The photo-permeability is varied by adding other kinds of halogen component.
