Appts. for cutting rubber hose into axial lengths with radial faces has a driven disc provided with a bore in which is inserted and clamped the hose, a radial face of the disc adjacent the overhanging portion of the clamped hose being provided with knife holders mounted such that on rotation of the disc the knives are pressed radially into the outer wall of the hose. Used for cutting hoses of 40-50 mm. Lengths having square ends are cut during periods of approx. 1 sec.
