Blocks of absorbant (cellulosic material contg. a volatile material for conditioning local atmospheres, e.g. for deodorising or disinfectant purposes, are made in the form of a 'C' or 'O' profile with a metal cover on one face and the bore end sized to rest on a conventional light bulb as a source of heat for dissipating the volatile constituent(s). Typically the block is about 2 mm thick and 85 mm overall dia., with an internal opening of 45 mm dia.
