There is a cylinder (1) in which a piston (2) moves, acted on by fluid pressure. The piston has rings (3) to premit high pressure being used one way, and low the other. The ratio is of the order of 100/1. The low pressure fluid has an outlet chamber (4). The chamber is a ring inside which the joints slide. The diameter of the ring is practically the same as that of the piston and the ring is made of porous material, or it can be metal or alloy. There can be longitudinal channels in the ring.
