摘要
The structural system uses inclined cables to couple otherwise un-connected orthogonal members e.g. beams and columns to a three-dimensional grid. The system may be used in the substructure of major buildings and is able to absorb seismic forces. A sub-system provides for tying any member back in four distinct planes, and each cable extends from the terminal point of a prim. member to an intermediate point on a sec. member. Cables extend from four distinct anchorage points. The cables used may have varying elasticity and resonance characteristics, and the nodal terminal connections may define two polygons with a common orthogonal axis.
