The cabinet shaped domestic refrigerator has a magnetic seal. The door has hollow hose type sealing profile. The latter has a chamber with flexible magnetic strips. This seal is in contact with plastics profile accommodating another magnetic profile around the door frame. The magnetic profile (24) in the frame (15) is situated in a channel (17) and able to move freely sideways. The channel (17) for the magnetic profile is wider approximately by the width of one pole section of the magnetic profile (24) to ensure movement. The channel (17) is an open groove which is tightly closed by a cover (16). The latter has ribs or grooves ensuring fitting into the accommodating edge of the channel.
